Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs
Daniel Matos serves as our Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.
Daniel Matos brings over 25 years of progressive administrative and leadership experience in higher education within both academic and student affairs/enrollment management. He currently oversees all offices within Enrollment Management & Student Affairs including: Admissions, Jay Express, Financial Aid, The Office of the Registrar, Dean of Students, Children's Center, College Now, CUNY Explorers, Testing & Articulation Systems, Upward Bound, Center for Student Involvement & Leadership, International Student Scholar Services, Immigrant Student Success Center, LGBTQ+ Resource Center, Military & Veterans Services, Student Transition Programs, and Urban Male Initiative. He also oversees the Wellness Center that includes the Office of Accessibility Services, Counseling Services Center, Health Services, Emergency Funding and the Food Pantry.
Daniel joined the private sector and worked for several international schools of medicine and veterinary medicine in the Caribbean, ultimately becoming the Vice President for Student Services at American University of Antigua College of Medicine. In 2012, he returned to CUNY as Senior Registrar for The City College of New York. In 2015, he joined John Jay to lead the office as its Senior Registrar. In 2020, Daniel became the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management. Daniel received his Bachelors in Deviant Behavior and Social Control from John Jay College and received his Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Belhaven University. In October 2023, he assumed the role of Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.
