Since 2008, Professor Kan has been with John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY, New York, where he is currently an AssociateProfessor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. His current research interests include estimation and system identification, mathematical statistics, stochastic approximation and optimization, stochastic control, applied probability and stochastic processes, as well as actuarial sciences and finance.
