Kendhyl Delacour is an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Psychology with expertise in mental health counseling and forensic psychology. She earned her MA at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and research has been focused on online child sexual abuse and beliefs about online sex offenders.
Ms. Delacour is currently a therapist at a non-profit organization in the Bronx and works with a diverse population of both children and adults. She was previously a mental health extern at Rikers Island where she provided therapeutic services to young adults aged 18-21 in a mental observation unit.
Prior to her time in New York, Ms. Delacour earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. Her time spent on the island of O'ahu was dedicated to serving as a behavioral health coordinator for youth aged 14-24 in a youth shelter as well as a case manager for adults with severe mental illness, legal encumbrances, housing instability, and substance abuse issues.
