Bio
Professor Carbonell received her MA and PhD in English and American literature at New York University. Her research and teaching interests include: the relationship between narration and ethics in the representation of American history; narratives of conquest, resistance and transcendence; cultural activism through literature and other art forms; and museums and American culture. She recently completed Museum Studies: An Anthology of Contexts (Blackwell Publishing, 2004).
