CRJ Advanced Certificate in Crime Prevention and Analysis
This advanced certificate program, offered by the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice program at John Jay College, provides advanced instruction in techniques for deterring crime. The program also offers instruction in quantitative, computer-based skills needed to analyze crime patterns to develop strategies that can be employed in reducing crime. Students may obtain the advanced certificate without pursuing a master’s degree. The certificate is appropriate for students whose career objectives include crime pattern analysis in public or private sector agencies.

Admissions to the advanced certificate program will be based upon the following criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Appropriate letters of recommendation
