The John Jay College Now (CN) program is designed to meet high school students' diverse academic needs and interests. Admission requirements vary depending on the course or activity. Students should have a good high school attendance record to in the programPlease note that only students who attend NYC public high schools, are registered homeschooled students, or are students with disabilities and whose private school tuition is supported by the DOE can participate in College Now (See FAQs).

Eligibility Criteria for 1-Credit Course
Counseling 110 [Career Development for the College Student]

  • Sophomore, Junior, OR Senior
  • 55-74 English Regents score between OR 70+ GPA 


Eligibility Criteria for 3-Credit Courses
Criminal Justice BS 101, English 101, Psychology 101, Sociology 101

  • Junior, OR Senior
  • 20+ ACT English OR 
  • 75+ ELA Regents OR 
  • 480+ SAT Reading and Writing Score OR
  • 480+ PSAT Reading and Writing Score OR 
  • Sophomores achieving the required ACT/ELA/PSAT are eligible for the 3-credit courses
